Cristian Schrik
A passionate aviation photographer who came in touch with aviation in an early stage in his life, when he moved near Leeuwarden Air Base.
After visiting his first Air Show in 1990 at Leeuwarden Air Base, he got trilled by the speed and sound of fighter aircraft.
By starting to write down serial numbers and recognise various types of aircraft and helicopters, he bought his first camera at the age of 15.
After capturing aircraft in flight from the ground, he gained experience in
air-to-air
photography in his late 20's.
He gained several flying hours conducting air-to-air photography with the Belgian, Dutch, Hungarian, Norwegian, Slovenian and the United States
Air Force.
Cristian turned his passion for aviation into his job. He started a career with the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 2002 as a mechanic on the F-16MLU at Leeuwarden Air Base. He is occasionally an photographer for the RNLAF.
Objective
As a freelance aviation photographer / journalist he creates and provides
hi quality images, and articles based on facts.
His images and articles are being published in worldwide leading aviation magazines e.g. Air Forces Monthly and Combat Aircraft.
