Fighter Weapon Instructor Training 2010
Air-2-Air
From 17 May - 26 November 2010 the Fighter Weapon Instructor Training (FWIT) takes place. Hosted and organised by the 323TT squadron, Leeuwarden AFB, the Netherlands, various European Participating Air forces (EPAF) countries send some of their finest F-16 pilots to Leeuwarden AFB to become instructors. The FWIT2010 is the 15th course since it training began in 1984 when it was called Dutch Weapon Instructor Course (DWIC).
During the Air-2-Air phase from 17 May - 30 July 2010, I did some Air-2-Air photography from the back of a Belgian C-130H Hercules that participated as a slow mover. The images have been published in Lockheed Martin magazine, Code One.
